Anthony Chiofa had been on the force for 22 years when failed a random drug test in 2006, and then claimed that his wife — who smokes the wacky tobaccy for chronic back pain — cooked up some green in his pasta instead of oregano so he would get fired before getting killed on the job.

Sucks for the cop, but it certainly sounds like a delicious plan. Check out a marijuana meatballs recipe and make your own!

But none perhaps is kinder on your lungs than puffing through a vaporizer bong, which instead of burning marijuana to produce heavy, carcinogen-filled smoke that scorches the fuck out of your throat, boils the buds to create a light, cool and toxin-free vapor that soothes it like angel’s cum.

Looks like puffing pot is finally headed to prime time. A new TV show titled Cannabis Planet that’s all about medical marijuana — from cultivation to consumption and every little nugget in between — premieres tonight on a local San Diego cable channel that reaches four million households in Southern California (it can also be viewed online for 99 cents an episode here).

Segments include marijuana news bits, growing tips, features on the environmental and medicinal benefits of going green, the smokin’ grooves of house band The Shakedown and “Cooking With Cannabis,” chef Mike DeLao’s chance to highlight highly praised recipes like “Mike’s Medicated Vegan Salad.” The show is charmingly low in budget but definitely not short on ambition. “Cannabis is here to stay,” insists executive producer Brad Lane. “People need to accept that.”

Smoking pot often leads to intense, never-ending hunger pangs — the kind that lead to the consumption of things like entire boxes of Dunkin’ Donuts Glazed Donut Holes or bottomless cartons of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia (Read this to find out why pot makes you hungry).

But this being the Big Apple, such typical caloric creations just won’t do — our sativa-saturated selves need conspicuous consumption of epic proportions. So, behold!

The Luther Burger: “a hamburger, specifically a bacon cheeseburger, which employs a grilled glazed donut in place of the bun.” Fucking 1,500 calories of amazing!

The LB first appeared in NYC in the Google cafeteria back in 2007, and was recently spotted by the Daily News at the Big E food fair in Massachusetts under the name the ‘Craz-E Burger’. Sadly, though, seems like right now it’s only served at Mulligan’s, a suburban bar in Decatur, Georgia. I hope there’s good green in Georgia!

For that, we hit up the aptly-titled HowToRollAJoint.info, which offers diagrams and easy-to-follow instructions on shaping everything from the utilitarian Knee Trembler to the classic

Is medical marijuana coming to New York? Our friends at the Marijuana Policy Project sure would like it to, so they’ve unleashed a thick billowing batch of ads targeted at media markets in key New York Senate districts in time for election season. Personal possession of 25 grams, or seven-eighths of an ounce, is decriminalized in New York state (as long as its not burning or in open view) thanks to the Marijuana Reform Act of 1977, but these dank doctors want the people who would medically benefit from weed to have legal and open access to it. Stuffy local affiliates ABC, CBS and Fox won’t be airing the controversial ads, which but the daring WNBC will. You can also check out the dank spots below:
