Sometimes it’s kinda hard to even remember there was a time when pornography wasn’t just one click of the mouse away. Back in the ’70s people actually had to travel to exotic places in like Times Square or Greenwich Village to procure their erotic smut, where a certain charming seediness accompanied the visit to the adult book store and sex toy shop.

Luckily for those that weren’t there, that scene was captured in an amazing 1972 documentary titled Pornography In New York. “Something new is in the air . . . a pornogprahic explosion!” the flick promises — and delivers!
