This Week In Weed: Bud, Glorious Bud!
God’s weed is still pretty fucking illegal over most of this glorious world of ours, which often leads to some puzzling behavior. Like the 18-year-old woman in beautiful Sheboygan, Wisc., who got pulled over for not wearing her seatbelt and then tried swallow her stash so it wouldn’t be discovered. “I only ate some weed, officer,” she pleaded to the arresting cop. Or Andrew Tosh — son of the reggae legend Peter of Bob Marley & the Wailers fame — who this week was found guilty of possessing a small amount of the healing herb (in Jamaica, of all places!) Andy T had previously recorded a version of his dad’s hit “Legalize It” and posted it on his MySpace page. And although (or perhaps because?) marijuana still grows in the wild by the ton, police in Vancouver have busted Canada’s so-called “Prince of Pot” after he allegedly sold millions of marijuana seeds around the world via mail. The Prince is awaiting extradition to the United States where he faces five-to-eight years of not getting high in the slammer.
